In compliance with state and federal law, Texas State provides information on registered sex offenders living on campus, taking classes or employed by the university. UPD obtains these records from the Texas Department of Public Safety, which maintains registration information submitted by criminal justice agencies.

The Texas State University Police Department cannot guarantee that the records you obtain through this site relate to the person about whom you are seeking information. Searches based on names, dates of birth and other alphanumeric identifiers are not always accurate. The only way to positively link someone to a sex offender record is through fingerprint verification.

The information provided through the Texas Department of Public Safety site is open record. It may be used by anyone for any purpose.
